Q: My dog appears to be lame after sledding with the
kids, can I give him an Advil?
A: No- dogs and cats break down these drugs differently than humans.
Advil and Tylenol can be very toxic to dogs and cats! Always ask your
veterinarian before administering any drug to your pet!
Q:My cat has been drinking loads of water, is it just because the
house is dry?
A: Maybe not! How old is your cat? Three very common diseases found
in older (over 8) cats include Kidney Disease, Hyperthyroidism, Diabetes.
Each of these diseases is first characterized by increased water consumption.
If your pet is doing something different, talk to your veterinarian.
